Rich Tetreault, PE, chosen to direct D&K’s Transportation Division

DuBois & King is pleased to welcome Rich Tetreault, PE, as Director of D&K’s Transportation Division. Rich brings to D&K an extensive background in transportation engineering as a leader, manager, and technical engineer.

In 2017, Rich concluded his 30-year professional career with the Vermont Agency of Transportation. He retired as the VTrans Deputy Secretary and, over his career, served in various leadership positions, including Chief Bridge Inspector, District Transportation Administrator, and Chief Engineer/Director of Highways. Rich’s notable successes included delivering hundreds of state and local transportation projects in Vermont, implementing system improvements that improved data quality across the state, and providing leadership that increased retention, employee morale, and improved safety measures. Rich was one of two people at VTrans who served as unified command during the Tropical Storm Irene response and recovery efforts.

Rich lives in Newport Center with his wife, Susan. Their two children, Haley Jo and Patrick, are recent and soon-to-be college graduates. As a third-generation owner of the family farm, Rich and his wife produce hay, timber, and maple syrup. When not at work or farming, Rich supports his community by serving as the Board Chair of Newport City Downtown Development Corp. He also served a long period as the Newport Town Moderator.
