Ann Jackson Dam Removal

Wilton, New Hampshire | Girl Scouts of New Hampshire

An aging concrete and masonry dam was deemed structurally deficient by state regulators, and the owners could not justify the expense of reconstruction. D&K connected the owners with the NRCS to fund the construction, which included the removal and disposal of the dam and active restoration of the stream channel. Our team designed the removal of the dam, including a restored channel to mimic the channel upstream and downstream and seeding passive restoration areas with woody material to facilitate habitat features.
