Agriculture

With the goal of reducing phosphorous pollution and related pollutants in the state’s waters, DuBois & King provides planning, assessment, design, and construction administration for agricultural water quality projects. Firm civil/site and structural engineers, surveyors, wetland scientists, and permitting specialists provide comprehensive services for projects intended to remove and reduce pollutants, such as: roofed systems for barnyard animals; waste storage tanks; heavy use area management; waste transfer; clean water diversion; and related agricultural practices. Project team members are experienced at performing site investigations in an agricultural setting and working directly with farmers to address and resolve environmental and natural resource issues.

DuBois & King collaborates with farmers and federal and state agencies. The firm has worked closely with Vermont’s Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets and the state offices of USDA NRCS. The firm has delivered services for Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) civil and structural projects, as well as projects under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWPP), and the Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program (WHIP).
