Dam Engineering

D&K’s dam teams offer a full complement of technical services to dam owners: investigation, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, dam breach analyses, emergency action plans, needs analyses, flood damage surveys, subsurface investigations, evaluation of alternatives, cost estimating, community coordination, state and federal permit assistance, design, plans and specifications, and construction administration.

D&K dam engineers are supported by surveyors, landscape architects, wetland scientists, permitting specialists, and technicians to provide integrated, complete dam services. Project teams help dam owners address issues identified by state dam safety programs. For each dam, we investigate the dam site, meet with the owner, and provide a plan to address issues and help identify contractor resources to assist the dam owner in carrying out rehabilitation.
