Waste Storage Facility, Auburn Star Farm

Lunenburg, Vermont | USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

The Conan Eaton/Auburn Star Farm is located in a significant bendway (oxbow) along the Connecticut River. The preexisting waste storage facility (WSF) was an unlined, open manure pit located on the southern side of the farm within several hundred feet of the river. The existing WSF had inadequate volume to support operations and the number of animals at the farm. D&K provided structural engineering design and construction phase services for a new concrete manure storage tank.
