Rangeley Stephen A. Bean Municipal Airport

Rangeley, Maine | Town of Rangeley

Under a multi-year contract and an expedited schedule, DuBois & King provided guidance on planning, technical, environmental, and regulatory issues. Projects under this contract included a Capital Improvement Plan update, technical master plan update, runway extension, hangar area development, terminal apron expansion, Environmental Assessment, construction of a full parallel taxiway, snow removal equipment acquisition, a snow removal equipment building, and airport perimeter fencing.

D&K’s airport team advanced projects from planning through construction, including delivering NEPA EA documents under a highly accelerated schedule. The projects addressed FAA compliance issues and enabled LifeFlight, an air ambulance company, to use the runway and provide emergency care transportation/access to the region.
