D&K provided Retro-Commissioning (RCx) services for the mechanical and DDC controls systems. This multi-purpose members-only facility comprises four stories and includes 90,000 SF of space. The building was not fully utilized since its original construction and since the recent subsequent completion of an addition. Our commissioning team’s RCx services reviewed mechanical equipment performance and BMS control sequence operation from both the original design and subsequent Owner control adjustments made during the extended unoccupied period.

D&K evaluated the mechanical equipment and building controls for multiple space types, including many specialty spaces with specific humidity and temperature controls requirements. Our team developed a Current Facility Requirements (CFR) document and provided seasonal equipment testing. We also coordinated with the Owner to make system improvements where immediate benefits and improved testing outcomes and added value and worked collaboratively with Efficiency Vermont to track improvements and realize Owner incentives to improve energy efficiency.
