The City of Bangor conducts operations in a 100+-year-old former US Courthouse and Post Office building, which includes approximately 45,000 SF of space. Over a two-year period, the City invested approximately $10M to renovate this historic city hall. Renovations to the first floor included flexible workspaces, replacement/upgrade of the HVAC system, a new elevator, and security system upgrades. The project also relocated the City Council chambers to the first floor. D&K’s Resident Project Representative provided construction observation, coordination with the City, design engineer, contractors, and subcontractors.
