D&K’s structural, dam, civil, water resource, mechanical, and electrical engineers support the production of hydroelectric power. We assist with capital improvement plans, provide emergency response and forensic analysis, perform FERC 12D inspections, improve facility safety for maintenance activities, develop operations and maintenance programs, assist with maintenance projects, and provide construction phase services.

Project experience includes dam evaluation, rehabilitation, and design, penstock inspections, powerhouse reconfigurations, aquatic organism passage assignments, and site projects, such as canoe portage, public water access parks, and substation yards. Our hydro team is supported by surveyors, landscape architects, wetland scientists, wildlife biologists, permitting specialists, and technicians.
