Brattleboro School Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Brattleboro, Vermont | Windham Southeast Supervisory Union

When the Brattleboro School required expansion and renovation, D&K provided electrical and mechanical design to implement energy improvements for this 336,000-SF facility serving grades 6–12. Efficiency upgrades included daylighting controls; occupancy sensors; heat recovery system; high-efficiency air conditioning system; wood chip boiler as the primary heat source; CO2 sensors; VFDs on select air handling heat pumps; and DDC technology to optimize HVAC schedules and monitor energy usage. Our teams provided design, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services, and performed campus energy modeling with Efficiency Vermont.
