Structural and electrical engineering services for addition and renovations to David’s House. David’s House provides a home-away-from-home and support for families with children receiving treatment through the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The facility consists of a new 2-story 2,800 +/- sf, wood framed addition to the existing building. Scope of structural engineering services included the design of the foundations and wood framed superstructure. Scope of electrical engineering services included developing and finalizing electrical design criteria; performing calculations for electrical loads and lighting; preparing final design of electrical systems; modifying existing distribution system and re-feeding to a new panel for the addition; power and lighting sub-panels; circuiting; switches; receptacles; lighting design; and new data and phone outlets wire management system and cabling.
