To serve existing users and a projected increase in operations, the Machias Valley Airport needed to upgrade its fuel farm. Under an on-call contract for airport engineering, D&K worked with the airport to design and support the construction of an AVGAS/100LL fuel farm, including a supplemental survey, structural considerations for a concrete slab to support a 5,000+/- gallon aboveground tank, electrical feed, and the ability to sell fuel through a credit card kiosk.
