Water Source Evaluation, Berkshire NFH

New Marlborough, Massachusetts | US Fish and Wildlife Service

Located along the Konkapot River, the Berkshire National Fish Hatchery maintains lake trout brood stocks for restoration efforts in the Lower Great Lakes and raises brook trout for local recreation and educational programs throughout Berkshire County. The existing water supply system consisted of three shallow gravel wells and two springs that are connected, piped, and flow by gravity to hatchery operations. D&K identified and evaluated existing water sources at the site to determine the extent of their ability to contribute to the total water supply serving the hatchery.
