VT 116-Briggs Hill Road Intersection Study

Bristol, Vermont | Addison County Regional Planning Commission

Hazards at the intersection of VT 116, Lincoln Road, and Briggs Hills Road included limited sight distance looking toward VT 116 due to a bridge and guardrail, the grade of Briggs Hill Road at the approach, and the vehicles parked on Lincoln Road during the summer months. These factors led the Town of Bristol to apply for and receive an Addison County Transportation Planning Initiative grant to study this project area and develop potential improvements that may make traveling through the project area safer. D&K developed and evaluated alternatives for the project to prepare a Scoping Report summarizing the project for the town to use for future improvements to the intersection.
