To provide wide-ranging, reliable, and high-capacity coverage, Verizon Wireless renovates its facilities, establishes new sites, and constructs telecommunication installations on existing, prominent structures. D&K has served more than 200 of Verizon’s locations throughout Vermont. These sites range from locations in buildings, on farm silos, and at other urban locations to remote rural, mountain, and wooded contexts. Project assignments involve establishing control by GPS, control traverse, verifying and establishing benchmarks, locating existing property lines and access easements, topographic surveying of road and site, locating existing utilities, supporting photo simulations, stakeout for permitting and construction, establishing true north line from towers, and completing record drawings. For sites featuring existing towers, D&K has provided xyz datum on all existing antennas and tower sections. D&K reviewed existing easements for conflicts with proposed construction and improvements.
