Manchester Job Corps

Manchester, New Hampshire | US Department of Labor

For the construction of the new US Department of Labor (DOL) New Hampshire Job Corps Center, DuBois & King’s survey crew tied into existing boundary corners and collected 1-ft contour intervals on an undeveloped 20-acre wooded parcel. Our surveyors developed the topographic survey into a 3D-model base plan to assist our design team in performing concept design and permitting. The facility comprises two dormitories, an educational building, a cafeteria, an administration building, a welcome center, a recreational building, 90 parking spaces, roadways, walkways, and lighting.

The project required extensive coordination with the architect, DOL, and officials of the city’s Planning, Engineering, Water, and Public Works Departments. D&K also filed a New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Alteration of Terrain permit on behalf of the DOL.
