Legislative Parking Garage

Concord, New Hampshire | NH Department of Administrative Services

NHDAS and the NH Legislature relied on a deteriorating parking structure to serve legislative sessions and other government needs. The NH State Government required a new 409-slip garage across the street from the State House on a site then occupied by the NH Department of Justice (DOJ) building. The DOJ was relocated within the City of Concord. As part of an A-E team, D&K provided survey, civil, electrical, mechanical, and utility engineering for the design of the new parking structure. The proposed garage’s location was across the street from the Statehouse; D&K conducted traffic and transportation engineering to accommodate construction activities, as well as pedestrian improvements on Capitol Street and around the perimeter of the building.
