To understand existing conditions and evaluate opportunities to upgrade the facility, D&K supported Patriot Hydro by providing an evaluation and designing upgrades of the 1.6MW Hooksett Hydroelectric Project. The team assessed existing conditions, including civil-structural, equipment, hydrologic and hydraulic, and natural resources. D&K also completed an electrical generation study that identified ways to optimize the facility’s output and designed a six-step-pool nature-like fishway for Blueback Herring, American Eel, and American Shad.
