DuBois & King served as the lead engineer and survey firm on the consultant team that developed standards for rebuilding Burlington’s downtown streets, sidewalks, and City Hall Park into sustainable and dynamic public spaces. D&K located trees within the project area, noting the species and diameter breast height through the park, as well as along the main roadways through Burlington. D&K’s surveyors located sidewalks, utilities, roadways, paint markings, and building party walls. Survey of party walls was needed as they make up boundary lines and underground utilities, restricting the location and type of landscaping that could be placed in the project. Our survey staff drafted plans identifying features within City Hall Park, as well as existing/proposed roadway boundaries.
